Two people, including the incumbent Member of Parliament have filed their nominations to contest the Adaklu constituency Parliamentary seat at the Electoral Commission office at Adaklu Waya.

They are Mr. Governs Kwame. Agbodza, the incumbent who is standing on the ticket of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) and Mr. Bright Kwame Nyatsikor, Volta/Oti Regional Public Relations Officer of the National Health Insurance Authority, who filed on the ticket of the New Patriotic Party (NPP).

Mr. Jerry Ameko, Chairman of the Adaklu Constituency NDC accompanied by some constituency executives of the party filed on behalf of Mr. Agbodza who is also the Minority Chief Whip in Parliament.

Mr. Nyatsikor was also accompanied by NPP constituency executives to file his nomination.

While Mr. Ameko was optimistic of Mr. Agbodza retaining the seat, Mr. Nyatsikor was optimistic of snatching it from the NDC saying “the dynamics have changed.”
