CookClean donates computer laboratory to school at Bediakokrom

CookClean Ghana Limited has donated a 45-Seater Computer Laboratory to the Bediakokrom R/C Basic School in the Asunafo North Municipality of the Ahafo Region.

 
The computer lab, fully equipped with modern systems and learning software, has additional rooms for creche, staff common room library, sick bay, and washrooms, would benefit over 500 students in the Bediakokrom and its surrounding communities.

 
The company also provided 64-pot router and GHC1000.00 internet bundle, two sets of football jerseys, four footballs, two Volley balls, two basketballs, and First Aid bags.

 
Mr Nicholas Sarkodie Addo Manu, Chief Executive Officer of the company, in an interview with the Ghana News Agency, said the gesture was part of his outfit’s corporate responsibility to the community, one of its operational areas.

 
He indicated that with the current global technological advancements, it was imperative to equip the Ghanaian child with the skills and knowledge that would keep them abreast with the times.

 
“Today, we are not simply opening a computer lab: we are opening doors to the world for our students,” he stated. 


Mr Manu, whose company is also dedicated to promoting clean energy solutions and sustainable development, pledged to empower communities, to reduce carbon emissions through the provision of cookstoves, to make positive impact in the lives of Ghanaians.

 
The commissioning ceremony was graced by several dignitaries, including: Messrs Yaw Osei Boahen and Evans Opoku Bobbie, Municipal Chief Executive and Member of Parliament respectively for the area.

 
Mr Emmanuel Kwame Quansah, the contractor said it took 20 months to complete the project.

 
Messrs Samuel Offei and Ati William, Headteachers for Bediako R/C Junior High School and Primary, respectively expressed gratitude to Mr Nicholas Manu for the facility, and pledged to put them to good use, and maintain them for posterity.
