The General Secretary of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), Mr. Fifi Fiavi Kwetey, has called on the Chairperson of the Electoral Commission (EC), and her deputies to stop what he describes as playing delay tactics and announce the final outcome of the just-ended presidential and parliamentary election results.

“We will urge the chairperson of the Electoral Commission, Jean Mensa, and her team to make sure the declaration is not unduly delayed because we know for a fact that nothing can be done about it because it is already in the bag,” he said.

According to the NDC scribe, the outcome of the election process as far as the presidential result is also concerned is already known to them and many Ghanaians; thus, the delay tactics the chairperson and her team have employed will amount to nothing.”

Addressing some journalists at a press briefing held at the party’s headquarters on Sunday, December 8, 2024, NDC’s General Secretary stated that the party remains focused on serving the nation responsibly with its newly secured mandate.

Mr. Kwetey reaffirmed his party’s commitment to using its victory in the just-ended December 7 general election as a platform to propel Ghana toward progress and prosperity.

During the address, Mr. Fifi Kwetey urged the Electoral Commission (EC) and its Chairperson, Jean Mensa, to ensure that the declaration of results is not unnecessarily delayed.

Highlighting the party’s confidence in the election outcome, the NDC Scribe asserted that his party’s victory was decisive and undeniable.

“We have secured a very significant majority and a majority that we aim to use responsibly and for the progress of the people of Ghana.
