Mr. Abraham Ahiabu, a former contender for the position of District Chief Executive (DCE) position in Akatsi North, has extended his heartfelt congratulations to Mr. Bless Katamani on his successful endorsement as the new DCE.
He further pledged his unwavering support to ensure the development and progress of the district.
In an official statement made available to the Ghana News Agency (GNA), Mr. Ahiabu expressed his deep appreciation for the democratic process and urged unity among members of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) in Akatsi North.
“I extend my heartfelt congratulations to my brother, Bless Katamani, on his confirmation as the District Chief Executive for Akatsi North. Leadership is a privilege, and at any given time, only one person can occupy this position. Now that the contest is over, it is time for us to rally together and work towards the collective good of our district,” Mr. Ahiabu stated.
Mr Ahiabu, who is the NDC Constituency Secretary, stated the need for unity among party members, stressing that their shared vision for development should remain the priority.
“The true beauty of democracy lies in our ability to regroup and work together for the greater good. Your hopes are not dashed; there is still so much more we can achieve. Let us remain steadfast and committed to our shared vision. I am fully open and willing to work with Mr. Katamani for the success of our party and the development of our district.”
Mr. Katamani, who was the constituency NDC Vice Chairman, secured a resounding victory in his confirmation process, earning a unanimous endorsement from all 18 Assembly Members of the Akatsi North District.
The 100 per cent approval demonstrates the confidence local representatives have in his leadership abilities.
His endorsement marks a new chapter for the district, as stakeholders anticipate policies and initiatives aimed at improving the livelihoods of residents.
The Akatsi North District is one of the 18 districts in the Volta region, which shared boundary with Akatsi South, Ketu North and Agotime Ziope and noted for agricultural activities including cropping and animal husbandry.
