The NDC is now claiming that an impostor was foisted upon the house by the NPP caucus in order to get the right numbers to overturn last Friday’s decision, in an interesting twist to Tuesday’s drama in parliament, which saw a budget that was rejected last Friday suddenly adopted by the same house that rejected it.

On Tuesday, November 30th, 2021, Parliament ‘unanimously’ overruled last Friday’s stunning rejection of the 2022 budget after a one-sided house had its way, just as it did last week.

As a full complement of majority MPs voted to reject the house’s decision last Friday, it was the Minority’s turn to skip Parliament in yet another dramatic debacle.

Joe Osei Owusu, 1st Deputy Speaker, stepped in for the Right Honorable Speaker, who is now undergoing medical treatment in the United Arab Emirates.

Following the events of Tuesday, the NDC is now claiming that Sarah Adwoa Safo, the honorable MP for Dome Kwabenya, was missing from Parliament and was substituted by a masked ‘impostor’ to sit in her stead.

The allegation was first made by Bobie Ansah on Accra FM and has since generated widespread conversation on social media.

Though the Dome Kwabenya MP herself, yesterday, appeared in Parliament without a mask and refuted the allegations that she was absent on Tuesday, the NDC still insists they are investigation the likely impersonation and will soon publish their findings.

In a new photo collage that was first published on Accra FM by Bobie Ansah, the NDC is now accusing NPP’s Afia Akoto of impersonating Adwoa Safo.
