Fishermen have been advised to heed weather warnings issued by the Ghana Meteorological Agency by the Ministry of Fisheries and Aquaculture Development and the Fisheries Commission.

The Fishers Commission released a statement on Wednesday April 27 stating that this warning was essential owing to the extent to which tidal surges and rising sea levels continue to devastate the properties of fishermen at sea and on the shore.

“Fishers should examine and monitor the waters before embarking on a fishing expedition.”

“All canoes at the beach should be towed to a safer location,” it stated.
