Ghana was defeated 4-1 by the Netherlands in their final group encounter on Wednesday, and as a result, they have been eliminated from the FIFA U-20 Women’s World Cup.

The Black Princesses once again fell short of expectations as they suffered their sixth consecutive group stage elimination after being brutally defeated by the Dutch squad. Never having made it past the group stage is Black Princesses.

Following losses to the United States and Japan, Ghana had a slim chance of advancing from the group. The Black Princesses needed to beat the Netherlands by at least four goals and hope that Japan beat the US by at least two goals.

Japan did their job by impressively beating the United States 3-1 to finish top of Group D with a perfect record, but the Netherlands outclassed Ghana.

Ghana end the tournament with no points after conceding nine and scoring one.
