Inflation fell to 45.0% in March.

Inflation for the month of March 2023 has considerably decreased to 45.0 percent.

Compared to the 52.8 percent observed in February 2023, this indicates a 7.8 percentage point drop.

The Consumer Price Index (CPI) data that the Ghana Statistical Service (GSS) released on Wednesday reflected this.

According to the report, non-food inflation was at 40.6%, while food inflation was similarly 50.8%.

According to government statistician Professor Samuel Kobina Annim, the Western North had the highest rate of inflation at the regional level, at 67.3 percent.

With a rate of 25.6 percent, the Volta area had the lowest inflation.
