During a Sunday Service sermon at the Perez Chapel International, Archbishop Charles Agyinasare warned Christians about the dangers of idolatry. He emphasized that one cannot claim to be a Christian while engaging in idol worship.

Speaking on the topic of “Powers from the Other Side” as part of his monthly-themed sermon series, “Who rules the Cosmic World,” Archbishop Agyinasare defined idolatry as the act of worshiping and showing reverence to objects believed to possess spiritual powers.

The Archbishop urged Christians not to succumb to societal and familial pressures that may lead them into ungodly practices. He highlighted that some Christians are deceived and drawn into idol worship through spiritual experiences. Additionally, others may turn to idolatry out of a sense of disappointment or impatience with God’s timing or perceived lack of intervention.

Archbishop Agyinasare strongly cautioned against wearing amulets and talismans that are believed to have spiritual powers. He explained that such ornaments serve as points of contact for the devil to harass individuals and their families.

By emphasizing the dangers of idol worship and discouraging the use of objects associated with spiritual powers, the Archbishop aims to guide Christians in their faith and protect them from engaging in practices that contradict their Christian beliefs.
