Nottingham Forest Completes £15m Signing of Anthony Elanga from Manchester United

Nottingham Forest has officially announced the signing of Swedish forward Anthony Elanga from Manchester United for a fee of £15 million. The talented youngster has inked a 5-year deal with the club, marking a significant move in his career.

Born in Malmö, Sweden, Elanga impressed during his time in Manchester United’s youth ranks after joining the club in 2014. He was recognized for his outstanding performances by winning the club’s Young Player of the Year award in 2020. The following year, he made his professional debut in the Premier League against Leicester City.

In the 2020/21 season, Elanga scored his first senior goal for Manchester United in a 2-1 Premier League victory over Wolverhampton Wanderers. He continued to make his mark on the European stage, scoring his first UEFA Champions League goal against Atlético Madrid during the 2021/22 campaign. Throughout that season, he appeared 27 times in various competitions for the Red Devils.

Having earned 12 caps and netted three goals for the Swedish national team, Elanga arrives at Nottingham Forest as their second signing of the summer transfer window. The club had previously secured the signature of Ola Aina on Saturday.
