In a bid to motivate and support final year students preparing for this year’s Basic Education Certificate Examination (BECE), Mr. Bernard Sukah, the Assembly member for Tsiame Electoral Area in the Keta Municipality of the Volta region, has donated sets of mathematical instruments and pens to the candidates.
Mr. Sukah’s gesture aims to interact with the BECE candidates in the area, understand their challenges, and encourage them to perform their best in the upcoming exams. The support includes essential examination materials to help the students adequately prepare for the exams.
He expressed his gratitude to Torgbui Dallah Anini IV and Mr. Edward Sabah for their support in facilitating the initiative.
Headteachers of Tsiame Evangelical Presbyterian (EP) Basic School and Tsiame Roman Catholic (RC) Basic School, Mr. Jude Wodzogbe and Mr. Felix Fiadorwu, respectively, also expressed their excitement over the support and promised to ensure the candidates are well-prepared before the commencement of the exams.
In response to the generous donation, the beneficiary candidates expressed their appreciation to Mr. Sukah and pledged to perform well in the exams for their own benefit.
A total of 57 students from both Tsiame RC Basic School and Tsiame EP Basic School have benefited from Mr. Sukah’s support.
The BECE exams are scheduled to take place from August 7 to 11, and with the backing of their community leader, the candidates are determined to raise their school’s flags high in the upcoming examination.
