Bishop Dr. Yaw Owusu Ansah, from the Resurrection Power and Living Bread Ministries International, delivered a powerful message to Christians on the importance of being cautious about the associations they keep. During his sermon titled “God’s provision is always sustained,” the Bishop emphasized that the wrong associations can drastically impact one’s life and spiritual journey.

Drawing inspiration from the biblical account in 1 Kings 17:1-6, Bishop Owusu Ansah highlighted how King Ahab’s marriage to Jezebel led him away from God, resulting in the importation of 450 fetish priests to Israel who desecrated the holy altars. He cautioned that one wrong relationship could open the door to demonic contamination, influencing a person’s spirituality and moral values, leading them towards carnality.

Quoting from Galatians 3:1-3, the Bishop pointed out the danger of shifting from a spirit-led life to one driven by the flesh. He stressed the importance of sacrifice and disassociating oneself from negative influences, as it allows individuals to draw closer to God, thereby inviting His sustaining provisions into their lives. Encouraging Christians to be agents of positive change in their communities, the Bishop cited the example of Elijah, who confronted evil and distinguished himself from others by acting courageously and differently.

In conclusion, Bishop Owusu Ansah urged believers to make deliberate choices in their associations, considering how each relationship may impact their spiritual journey. He emphasized that regardless of one’s background, God can raise anyone up to accomplish great things, empowering them to be instruments of change in their communities and beyond.
