The Black Queens of Ghana will engage the Atlas Lionesses of Morocco in a friendly encounter on Friday February 21, 2025, at the Pere Jego Stadium in Casablanca.

This encounter was part of FIFA window and serves as a crucial preparation for the upcoming Women’s African Cup of Nations (WAFCON) tournament in July.

The team, under the guidance of new Head coach Kim Lars Björkegren, would focus on enhancing their performance and securing a positive result to boost their chances of advancing in the WAFCON.

The friendly also provides Coach Björkegren with an opportunity to assess the current squad and newly invited players.

The Black Queens had been paired in Group C alongside defending champions South Africa, Mali, and Tanzania.

With the tournament just around the corner, this friendly match against Morocco would be an essential gauge of the team’s readiness.
