Bono Regional House of Chiefs lauds its president for exceptional leadership

The Bono Regional House of Chiefs has praised its President Osageyfo Oseadeeyo Dr Agyemang Badu II, the Paramount Chief of the Dormaa Traditional Area for his exceptional leadership and immense contributions towards the holistic development of the Dormaa state and the Region by extension. 
 
Okokyiridom Sakyi Arko II, the Vice President of the Bono Regional House of Chiefs and the Paramount Chief of Drobo Traditional Area the instrumental role of Osagyefo Oseadeeyo Dr Badu II towards the development of the region could not go unnoticed. 
 
“The Dormaahene has steered the affairs of the house with wisdom and quality leadership and that has contributed significantly to the progress of the region,” he stated, adding “his exceptional leadership has earned him a second term as the President of the House”. 
 
Okokyiridom Arko II gave the commendation at a durbar of chiefs and people of Dormaa Traditional Area at the launch of the 25th anniversary of the enstoolment of Osagyefo Oseadeyo Badu II, which coincided with the launch of the 2024 Kwafie Festival held at Dormaa-Ahenkro. 
 
He said the House would continue to support the Osagyefo Oseadeeyo Dr Badu to enable him to achieve his vision for the region. 
 
“The Dormaahene played an instrumental role in the upgrade of the Sunyani Regional Hospital to a Teaching Hospital,” Okokyiridom Arko stated, saying “he is still playing such a role towards the establishment of medical school at University of Energy and Natural Resources”. 
 
Osagyefo Oseadeyo Badu expressed appreciation to the chiefs and people of the region for the honour, saying he was highly elated, and promised to do more to bring the development of the region to the next level. 
 
Touching on the anniversary and the festival celebrations, he said the Dormaa Traditional Council was putting up a guest house at his Abanpredease palace at Dormaa-Ahenkro to host and welcome visitors, saying another 32-room guest house was also under construction. 
 
He therefore called on individuals, organisations and Dormaa natives, home and abroad to support the celebrations, saying several activities including visits to historical sites had been outlined for the celebration. 
 
Barimah Dei Kusi Gyabaah, the Ankobeahene (sub-chief) of the Dormaa Traditional Area said the achievements of Osagyefo Oseadeeyo Dr Badu II spanned from sports and education saying the establishment of the Dormaaman Education Fund and sports and other infrastructure development had made face-lifted Dormaa-Ahenkro Township. 
 
The colourful event was attended by the business community, religious leaders, government officials, as well as traditional authorities.
