CAF appoints Imax Media Group to broadcast Ghana’s AFCON qualification matches

The Confederation of African Football (CAF), in collaboration with the Ghana Football Association (GFA), has appointed IMAX Media Group as the host broadcaster for Ghana’s three home matches in the Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) qualifiers.

IMAX Media Group, owners of Max TV would begin their official duty in the coming week to produce for CAF, Ghana’s game against Angola on September 5, in Kumasi.


Again, in October, the group would also air the Ghana, Sudan match and the final home game against Niger scheduled for November this year.

According to CAF, IMAX Media would work hand in hand with its Broadcast Venue Media Officer and the GFA to produce and transmit the match to CAF and telecast the match in Ghana.

Max TV is the only free to air television station permitted to transmit these matches live within the territory of Ghana.
