Chartered Tax Accountant Seeks NPP Nomination for Ekumfi Constituency Parliamentary Primary

Mr. Albert Tetteh-Entsie, a chartered tax accountant, has taken a significant step in his political journey by picking up the nomination form to contest the New Patriotic Party (NPP) parliamentary primary in the Ekumfi Constituency. A team of approximately 77 delegates, backed by numerous supporters, collected the form on his behalf at the party’s constituency office at Eyisam, along the Winneba-Mankessim highway.

Four Aspirants Vie for NPP Nomination in Ekumfi Constituency

Mr. Tetteh-Entsie, aged 46, is entering a competitive race against three other aspirants – Mr. Kweku Baah Ofori, Nana Adu Donkoh, the immediate past Constituency Chairman, and a former Member of Parliament (MP), Mr. Ato Cudjoe. The Ekumfi parliamentary seat has traditionally been held by the National Democratic Congress (NDC), but the NPP managed to secure it for the first time in the 2016 elections, led by Mr. Cudjoe. However, the NPP lost the seat to the NDC again in 2020.

Despite the tough task of winning the seat from the strong grip of the NDC, Mr. Tetteh-Entsie’s supporters express unwavering faith in his vision and capabilities, believing he is the best candidate to secure the seat for the party. As a patron of the newly launched Ekumfi NPP Youth Wing, he aims to support and empower the youth with relevant skills and knowledge for a sustainable future.

Education, Youth Employment, and Infrastructure Development Mr. Tetteh-Entsie’s vision centers around improving education, creating jobs for the youth, and ensuring infrastructural development in the constituency. His experience as a tax accountant and his extensive connections and network are expected to be instrumental in achieving these goals for the constituency.

As the NPP prepares for the parliamentary primary in the Ekumfi Constituency, it is essential for all aspirants and their supporters to engage in issue-based campaigns and refrain from personal attacks. The party’s acting constituency chairman, Alhaji Ismail Osam Anderson, urges a peaceful campaign to maintain unity within the party.
