Mr. Francis Kwadwo Oppong, the Dormaa West District Chief Executive, has expressed his appreciation to 67 rice farmers in Kwadwokumikrom for their crucial support in ensuring the success of the rice factory established under the government’s One District, One Factory (1D1F) policy.

The farmers have been actively and sustainably producing raw rice to supply the factory, making Kwadwokumikrom, a predominantly farming community in the Dormaa West District of the Bono Region, one of the leading rice-growing areas in the region.

During his visit to the farmers’ gathering and subsequent inspection of the rice farms, Mr. Oppong commended the farmers for their efforts and addressed their challenges. He assured them that the district assembly, in collaboration with the District Directorate of Agriculture, would take the necessary steps to address their concerns.

Mr. Paul Avah, the District Director of Agriculture, reaffirmed the commitment of the Directorate to provide ongoing technical assistance to the farmers to enhance their production.

As part of his visit, the DCE distributed cutlasses to the farmers to support their agricultural activities and then proceeded to inspect the rice farms.
