The stationery worth several hundreds of cedis include, textbooks, exercise books, notebooks, and mathematical sets.

The gesture was to help improve educational outcomes of students in some underserved communities.

He said most pupils from rural communities struggled to attend school due to lack of basic learning materials, and the donation would help retain them in school.

The Foundation earlier donated school uniforms, bags, shoes, and others to the orphans but realised they lacked educational materials hence the donation.

It was done in partnership with Dr. Jamonique Harrison and Adrian Harrison in the United States of America

Donating the materials to the orphans at Abrehyia in the Komenda- Edina-Eguafo-Abrem Municipality, Nana Ayensu, the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Sports for Change Foundation applauded the caretakers for supporting the course.

He advised the children to embrace reading, writing, and learning to be able to achieve their goals.

The CEO called on stakeholders to collectively help address issues hindering education of less privileged children and students.

For his part, Mr Theophilus Oppong, a teacher at St. Anthony Catholic Basic School appreciated the team for the gesture and pledged to monitor the orphans to ensure the intended motive was achieved.

He expressed the school’s commitment to supporting the course to improve education in the rural communities.

The orphans thanked the Foundation and partners for their contributions towards their education.

They promised to study hard to achieve the best they wanted as students.
