GCPS to host medical and knowledge fiesta next week

The Ghana College of Physicians and Surgeons (GCPS) in partnership with North America’s Ghana Physicians and Surgeons Foundation (GPSF) is to host the Annual Medical Knowledge Fiesta (MKF) from Wednesday, September 25th to Friday, September 27th, 2024.


A statement issued by the Ghana College of Physicians and Surgeons in Accra on Wednesday said the event would focus on the pressing challenge of antimicrobial resistance and the crucial role of healthcare workers in safeguarding medicines.


The MKF is a premier medical conference that brings together leading experts from Ghana and the United States for three days of intensive knowledge sharing and networking.


The statement said with a projected attendance of over 300 doctors and physician assistants, the event aimed to provide cutting-edge updates on diagnosis, management, and prevention strategies for various medical conditions.


“Antimicrobial resistance is a growing global health threat, and healthcare workers are on the frontline of this battle, the MKF offers a unique opportunity to discuss innovative approaches to combat this challenge and improve patient outcomes,” it said.


The conference will feature a diverse range of workshops, presentations, and panel discussions led by renowned experts in the field.


Participants will have the chance to learn about the latest research findings, clinical practices, and emerging technologies related to antimicrobial resistance.
