The Ghana Cricket Association (GCA) will host the maiden edition of the International Cricket Council (ICC) Level One Coach Tutors course from February 6 to 8, 2025 at the University of Ghana Sports Stadium Conference Hall, Legon.
The training course will bring together fifteen carefully selected coaches from across Ghana, who will undergo training to become ICC-certified coaching tutors.
According to the Cricket Operations Officer of the GCA, Mr Prince Eugene King, the course was a critical part of the ICC’s Coaching and Education program, aimed at enhancing the coaching capabilities of ICC Africa member nations.
He added that the ICC Level One Coach Tutors course would equip participants with the essential skills and knowledge needed to train and mentor future cricket coaches.
“The course will focus on tutor development, creating long-lasting positive impact on grassroots and elite cricket development throughout Ghana,” he added.
The course will be facilitated by experienced ICC personnels Chris Cardoso and Jolene Campher both from South Africa, and they will cover key aspects of coaching delivery, including communication, planning and assessment.
