The Ghana National Petroleum Corporation’s (GNPC) Foundation is set to hand over a newly constructed artificial turf to the community of Adenta on Friday, July 21, 2023. This initiative is part of the GNPC’s commitment to Corporate Social Responsibility and aligns with the government’s efforts to provide sporting facilities across various regions.

The state-of-the-art facility boasts a pitch dimension of 96×66 meters, complete with wire fencing and flood lights to enhance the playing experience for the community.

Dr. Dominic Eduah, the Executive Director of the GNPC Foundation, will lead the commissioning ceremony, which will be graced by various dignitaries, including Adenta’s Member of Parliament, Mohammed Adamu Ramadan.

Over the past few years, the GNPC Foundation has made significant contributions to various developmental projects nationwide. It has constructed more than 30 artificial turf facilities, promoting sports and recreational activities across the country. Additionally, the Foundation has funded the construction of over 140 classroom blocks for basic and senior high schools, enhancing educational infrastructure.

Furthermore, the GNPC Foundation has made vital investments in sanitation, funding the construction of 86 sanitary facilities in communities, schools, and markets across Ghana. In its efforts to support the youth’s development, the Foundation has transformed 32 community pitches into standard astroturf facilities, creating more opportunities for young athletes to excel.

The commissioning of the artificial turf in Adenta marks another milestone in the GNPC Foundation’s dedication to improving communities and enriching the lives of Ghanaians through its impactful initiatives.
