Accra Hearts of Oak has announced the departure of four players ahead of the upcoming 2024-25 football season.

The players are Issah Akukah, Salifu Ibrahim, and Yakubu Zakari, and goalkeeper Richard Attah.

Salifu Ibrahim, who recently completed his move to Kosovo’s FC Drita, was released by Hearts of Oak following the expiration of his contract.

Talks over Salifu’s contract extension with the Phobians was unsuccessful, with the gifted youngster subsequently released.

Attah, who was released by Hearts of Oak, was part of the domestic treble-winning team in 2021, but his recent poor run of form kept him largely on the bench.

Kuku, who had a poor outing for the Phobians in his return, has been transferred to newly promoted side Vision FC, the club has confirmed.

Zakari, who has had little playing time during his stint with the Phobians, has officially parted ways mutually with the club.

The Phobians are looking to revamp their side ahead of the start of the 2024-25 football season, which is scheduled to start in September, 2024.
