Accra Hearts of Oak were held to a goalless draw by Dreams FC in their final preseason game before the start of the 20254-25 Ghana Premier League (GPL).

It was a good warm-up exercise for the Phobians who had just returned from Togo after a week-long preseason camping trip.

Coach Aboubakar Ouattara divided his players into two sets for their match against Dreams FC at the Accra Sports Stadium on Wednesday.

Some young players, notably Humphrey Tetteh, Rapheal Amponsah, and second-choice goalkeeper Kwesi Nketiah, were handed starting roles.

The Phobians started the game on a positive note, playing some good football, but lost their rhythm in the latter stages of the first half.

But the second set, which included Benjamin Asare, Hamza Issah, Salim Adams, and Mawuli Wayo, dominated most of the second half with some good play.

Despite creating numerous chances, the Dreams FC back line held their ground and stopped the Phobians from ending their preseason with a win.

Accra Hearts of Oak would host newcomers Basake Holy Stars in the first match of the 2024-25 GPL at the Accra Sports Stadium on Sunday, September 8, 2024.
