Mr. Samuel Oko Amanquah, the Municipal Chief Executive of Kpone-Katamanso Municipal Assembly (KKMA), has submitted his nomination to contest the upcoming parliamentary primary of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) in the Kpone-Katamanso Constituency.

Upon receiving the nomination forms, Mr. Abdela Abdulai Kpone-Katamanso, NPP Constituency Secretary, praised the MCE for taking up the challenge to contest the parliamentary primaries. He urged all aspirants and delegates to adhere to the party’s rules and regulations and conduct themselves appropriately.

Mr. Samuel Oko Amanquah expressed his confidence in the NPP’s readiness to win the Kpone-Katamanso parliamentary seat for the first time in the Fourth Republic. He asserted that he is the best candidate to lead the NPP in the constituency to victory in the 2024 general elections.

Highlighting the long-standing dominance of the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC) in the constituency since 1992, Mr. Amanquah stated that there was little progress to show after 32 years of NDC representation. He emphasized that the NPP is determined to change this trend and bring development to the constituency.

Mr. Amanquah called for unity among NPP members, believing that with a united front, the party stands a good chance of defeating the NDC and securing the Kpone-Katamanso seat in the 2024 elections.

The NPP parliamentary primaries in the Kpone-Katamanso Constituency are scheduled for November, with approximately 1,035 delegates expected to cast their votes.
