The football fraternity was struck with sadness upon hearing the news of Moro’s death, as he collapsed on the field during a local community football game.

Despite the medical team’s best efforts to resuscitate him, Kabiru Moro sadly passed away after being taken to St. Dominic Hospital in Akwatia. In a heartfelt social media post, Medeama SC expressed their devastation at the loss of their former striker, extending their condolences to his family, friends, colleagues, and the larger Ghanaian football community. As per Islamic customs, Kabiru Moro was laid to rest on Wednesday, July 19, 2023.
