The Beyuo Educational Scholarship Trust (BEST) is targeted at students who hail from the Lambussie district pursuing higher studies anywhere in the country.

Dr Beyuo said the scholarship aims among other things at providing financial aid and promoting academic excellence in various levels of education.

The first beneficiaries of the BEST were selected from the various communities within the constituency based on needs assessment, pursuing academic programmes across the various tertiary institutions in the country.

Making the presentation at the palace of the Lambussie paramount chief, Dr Beyuo underscored the importance of education to the development of the constituency and the country as a whole.

He said education was his topmost priority and if given the nod in the December Parliamentary elections he would do more to improve education in the area.

He advised beneficiaries to be motivated by the gesture and concentrate on their studies and excel in their endeavors.

” I’m always happy to see my constituents climbing the educational ladder to the highest point, for this reason I will support them to pay their fees, although this current economic situation is very hard where tertiary fees have astronomically increased,” he stated.

Dr. Beyuo advised the beneficiaries to make good use of the initiative and opportunities available to study harder to excel in their education.

The paramount chief of the Lambussie Traditional Area, Kuoro Issaka Zengeh Kazie Tenjie II who chairman the occasion thanked the parliamentary candidate and advised students to study harder to excel.
