Black Stars coach Otto Addo is asking Ghanaians to support the national team as they work towards qualifying for the 2026 World Cup.

This appeal comes after the team missed out on the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) following a 1-1 draw with Angola last Friday.

Despite this disappointment, Addo is now focused on preparing for the World Cup qualifiers.

“I know people are upset and disappointed.

I was too, but we need to move forward,” he said on Sunday.

“We have to give our best in the World Cup qualifiers, and that starts immediately.

If Ghanaians want us to qualify, we need their full support,” he added.

Ghana is currently second in Group I of the World Cup qualifiers, tied on points with leaders Comoros.

Only the group winner will move on to the knockout stage.

The Black Stars are set to play Chad and Madagascar in March 2025.

Addo is determined to become the first coach to lead Ghana to two consecutive World Cups.
