Mr Bright Asamoah Brefo has won the Bibiani-Anhwiaso-Bekwai Parliamentary seat on the ticket of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) in the just ended Election 2024, after twenty years of waiting. 
 
He polled 33,732 of the valid votes to emerge victorious after beating his only contender, Mr Alfred Obeng Boateng, the incumbent Member of Parliament on the ticket of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) who polled 31,749 votes. 
 
Mr Samuel Nsiah, the Returning Officer of the Electoral Commission for Bibiani Municipal, thanked the security service and media for their cooperation for a successful election. 
 
Mr Bright Asamoah Brefo, in his victory speech, thanked the electorate for the confidence reposed in him and commended the constituency executives for their tremendous work to secure victory. 
 
He appealed to the party supporters to support him to enhance the party’s vision which include, job creation for the youth and also to bring more development projects to the area. 
 
He recounted that the Bibiani-Anhwiaso-Bekwai Constituency seat was previously for the NDC until in the Election 2004 when Mr Christopher Addai of the NPP snatched the seat from the NDC, however after 20-years of drought, it has been recaptured. 
 
Mr Asamoah Brefo called for a collaborative effort, unity, and commitment among party members to protect the seat again.
