In a deal worth reportedly £50 million, Raheem Sterling has moved from Manchester City to Chelsea.
After spending seven seasons at the Etihad, the 27-year-old attacker from England has agreed to a five-year deal at Stamford Bridge.
In 337 games for City, Sterling scored 131 goals and helped the team win the league four times.
Following his move, the Three Lions player with 77 caps said: “I want to start by saying that I’m glad to be here.
“I’ve certainly accomplished a lot in my career thus far, but there is still so much more to do. I’m incredibly excited to do that while wearing a Chelsea jersey and playing for Thomas Tuchel’s team.
“London is my home and where it all started for me.
“It’s amazing I now have the opportunity to play in front of friends and family week in, week out at Stamford Bridge. I’m really looking forward to meeting the fans there soon.
“I can’t wait to get going now and continue to do my talking on the pitch.”
Sterling is Chelsea’s first signing under their new ownership and will look to provide firepower up front after Tuchel’s side struggled for goals last term.
Todd Boehly, the club’s chairman and co-controlling owner, said: “Raheem is a serial winner and his signing is an important step in strengthening our squad.
“We are delighted for Raheem to return to London with Chelsea and we look forward to seeing his world-class talent on display at Stamford Bridge.”
Sterling has already joined up with his new team-mates in Los Angeles as they prepare for their pre-season tour of the United States.
