Respecting Tradition and Serving God: Archbishop Agyinasare’s Message to Ghanaians

Archbishop Charles Agyinasare, the Archbishop of Perez Chapel International in Dzorwulu, Ghana, expressed his belief in traditional authority, traditions, and customs as long as they align with the word of God. He emphasized his respect for traditional leaders by stating that whenever he goes for crusades, he visits the chiefs and elders of the community before commencing his activities.

During the Ghana Month in March 2023, Archbishop Agyinasare and his congregation commemorated the event by wearing traditional attire representing the 16 regions of Ghana. This demonstrates their appreciation for Ghanaian culture and their desire to promote local customs and traditions.

In his sermon titled “Who Ruled the Cosmic World II – God versus Idols,” the Archbishop emphasized the importance of serving God alone, as commanded in the scriptures. He urged Christians to abstain from engaging in idolatry worship, as it offers no good to their lives. He highlighted that one’s relationship with God determines the quality of their life, emphasizing the need for unwavering devotion to the service of God.

The Archbishop acknowledged the positive contributions of Christianity to Ghana. He mentioned the establishment of schools, hospitals, and orphanages by the faith, which have improved the lives of many individuals in the country.

Overall, Archbishop Charles Agyinasare encourages adherence to the teachings of the Bible while also promoting respect for traditional values and cultural heritage in Ghana.
