Tottenham are keen on a Jamaica star who has intriguingly switched agents, while Liverpool receive a warning over a defender deal – all in the latest Euro Paper Talk.
SPURS KEEN AS STAR WINGER SWITCHES AGENT
Tottenham and Everton have registered firm interest in Bayer Leverkusen winger Leon Bailey, who has recently switched agent in a signal of intent, according to a report.
The 22-year-old, who moved to the Bundesliga in 2017, has seen his stock grow significantly in recent seasons. This term, he scored seven goals and assisted three others in 31 appearances.
Previous reports have claimed Manchester United, Manchester City and Arsenal are all keen on the Jamaican. According to Sport1, however, Tottenham also want to sign Bailey and have sent admiring glances his way.
Bailey spoke of his Premier League dream midway through the season and a recent claim said he has informed Leverkusen of his desire to move to the English top flight.
Now, Sport1 adds that Bailey has taken steps to doing just that with a switch of agent, which usually signals a desire to find a new club.
Aidy Ward from Colossal Sports Management now represents Bailey, with the agent also working with Bayern Munich star Kingsley Coman and City’s Raheem Sterling.
Should Spurs or Everton make a formal offer for the winger, Sport1 concludes that Leverkusen would sell for €40million (£36million).
