Timo Werner’s agent has met with three Serie A clubs as the Chelsea striker prepares to leave the club.
According to Italian media, AC Milan, Juventus, and Atalanta officials met with Volker Struth about a summer transfer.
Werner has struggled since the Blues paid £47.5 million to bring him to the Premier League in 2020 following a productive spell with RB Leipzig.
He has only scored 19 goals in 81 games, and Chelsea fans are growing impatient after initially rallying behind the German forward.
Frustratingly for the West Londoners, Werner continues to score goals for his country and will no doubt have plenty of suitors if he is allowed to leave.
But there are two potential stumbling blocks — the 26-year-old’s bumper wages and uncertainty around Chelsea’s ability to sell players under their current licence with the UK Government.
Thomas Tuchel has lacked reliable options up front thanks to Werner’s failings and Romelu Lukaku struggling to live up to his £97.5m fee.
Kai Havertz has performed brilliantly after stepping in but once the club’s ownership is sorted, signing a striker will be a priority.
