Transfer Talk: Kane keen to consider Red Devils proposal

Harry Kane wants to listen to any potential offer from Manchester United this summer before deciding on his long-term future.

The Tottenham marksman, 28, has hit blistering form once again in recent weeks by registering nine direct goal involvements in his last six Premier League appearances.

Wins in five of those outings have seen Spurs leapfrog their North London rivals Arsenal into fourth spot, with the race for Champions League qualification set to go down to the wire.

But even if Antonio Conte’s side do seal their place among Europe’s elite next term, there are no guarantees their talismanic striker will stay put according to The Athletic.

Current Red Devils boss Ralf Rangnick is expected to move into a consultancy role at Old Trafford at the end of the campaign, with Erik ten Hag and Mauricio Pochettino among the favourites to take the reins.

However, provisional transfer targets are still being sounded out by club officials and the England skipper is top of their list.

Desperate to win trophies in his prime years, the report claims that Kane will give any offer from another club his full consideration.

But whether United are able to convince Spurs chairman Daniel Levy to sell to a domestic rival is another question altogether.

Kane was at the centre of a transfer saga last summer when English champions Manchester City pushed hard for a deal before talks eventually collapsed.

Though the forward subsequently committed his future to his boyhood club, his form unquestionably dipped in the following months.

Having only recently returned to his best, Spurs will hope another disruptive off-season can be averted at all costs.
